Top Questions

What should i wear to my session?

Generally clients will wear their underwear. However if you feel more comfortable, a pair of stretchy or loose shorts will be appropriate. A normal bra or bikini is more suitable than a sports bra. Towels will be used to cover you during the massage and will be moved to allow access to the body part being treated.

The most important thing is that you feel comfortable and relaxed.

How frequently should i have a sports massage?

This will purely depend on your goals. Maintenance Massages are usually between 3 -5 weeks. For people involved in regular training that have high intensity and volume will want to come more regular.

The solution is always about finding what is right for yourself to reduce muscle tension and keep you injury-free.

I don't do sports - what treatment is right for me?

Soft Tissue Therapy and Sports Massage are suitable for everyone, not just athletes and fitness fanatics!

You do not need to be an athlete to reap the benefits. A maintenance massage can help with everyday aches, pains and postural imbalances caused from sitting at a desk all day or other daily tasks.

How many sessions will i need?

Treatment options and the amount of sessions needed will vary person to person, so this will depend on your circumstances and whether you are wanting to maintain to prevent injury or treat an injury.

Does a Sports Massage hurt?

The pressure of a sports massage can get quite deep, which may cause some discomfort. However, it should never be too painful, keeping at a maximum of 7/10. We will guide you through the treatment so you know what is happening at all times and we will communicate throughout. Your honest feedback will be very important, so we can work together to get the best results for yourself, as comfortably as possible.

What is the cancellation policy?

48 hours notice - Full charge will apply to any sessions cancelled within 48 hours of your scheduled appointment.

No credit, Partial or Full refunds will be given. Unless in exceptional circumstances (at the discretion of the sports massage therapist).

Payments must be made in Full Prior to the commencement of the session & at time of booking.

What should I expect from my first session?

At the first appointment, a medical history is taken and a treatment plan will be discussed and agreed with you. A postural assessment may be carried out and depending on your requirements i may carry out passive, active and resisted muscle tests to identify areas of tightness, weakness and/or imbalances within the muscles.

After the treatment i may suggest exercises and stretches to aid the rehabilitation of injuries.
